and services for advanced microdispensing and inkjet printing
applications.
Our team of scientists, engineers and
technicians has more than 15 years experience in inkjet-technology and
micro-fluidics. We focus on high quality products and services for
industrial applications as well as for R&D purposes. Our products
range from single dispenser systems up to sophisticated Autodrop
Platforms (including glove box and production systems).
We
provide our customers with a number of services like training,
dispensing tests, prototyping and customized solutions. Microdrop
Technologies is significantly involved in several R&D projects,
which are concerned with material deposition and inkjet printing, in
cooperation with industrial partners or by public funding (EU, BMBF,
DPI, etc.).

Our products are found in several production processes, e. g. material deposition of oils (lubrication of hard drive motors, minimal lubrication for drilling), adhesives (bonding of micro-parts and optics) and mercury (lamp production).
An important materials science topic is the development of new
coatings, dispersions, inks and functional polymers.
In such
applications, our Autodrop Platform is used as a versatile tool for
liquid handling, material deposition and investigations of drop forming
and substrate wetting.
In addition, the pipette systems serve as a unique tool for the preparation of libraries. The application of high solids content dispersions and concentrated solutions allows the printing of 3-D structures (Rapid Prototyping).
Plastic Electronics is a growing field where functional polymers
and conductive inks are used in electronic devices such as OLED’s,
displays, solar cells, sensors, RFID-Tags, conductive lines and others.
microdrop’s technology is used for development, sample printing and
prototyping of such devices.
Microdrop’s printing systems are based on glass capillaries. This allows the handling of DNA, proteins and even cells.
